I am Art Blue the artist of the Horned God of the Forest image on this tribe's website. This is a handmade collage which means I glued each candle and feather and other layers onto the the image of the Horned God. I was studying alchemy at the time so the fire off in the distance is a symbol of the alchemist's quest for creating gold. I am wondering how my Horned God collage ended up on this website? A friend told me he had seen it here and I stopped by tonight to comment about the art.

Sun, December 21, 2008 - 2:08 PMPeople stumble across pretty images and like to share them. Often they don't know the Provence or don't check if they are copywrited or not.
I sometimes stumble across my own work, since most of what I release on the web is not copyrighted, and the publication rights have expired.
I guess I'm just trying to keep a presence since my career is somewhat stalled. -

Sun, December 21, 2008 - 5:58 PMI was really bad when I first started surfing the web for great art. I just saved the pic and didn't save the titles or artists' names. Then it hit me and I started posting the artist and title if I know it. I love YOUR work, Greybat, and I truly hope you don't mind my posting it. -

Re: horned god of the forest
Sun, December 21, 2008 - 6:16 PMWhen I see art I recognize in a gallery here, I'll often comment with the artist's name just as I did with Art's beautiful piece. He's a very sweet and talented friend of mine. I've done the same thing for several artists whose work is posted here at tribe without credit.
Guess being an artist myself, it seems like the right thing to do.

Wed, December 24, 2008 - 10:27 PMNot a bit! I suppose one day the images may be worth something, if my portfolio survives these dark times. -

Thu, December 25, 2008 - 5:05 PMWell, as an Artist myself, I try to look at the fact that people share my works, as free exposure. I know that it can cause problems later, but all of my work so-far is pretty easily traced back to the source.
